Everything is Illuminated – Liev Schreiber

Though Liev Schreiber is now best known for his Golden Globe-nominated performance on the hit Showtime series Ray Donovan, he showed great promise as a director back in 2005 with the release of Everything is Illuminated, the film adaptation of the Jonathan Safran Foer novel. The ambitious and quirky film was enjoyed by both critics and audiences thanks to Schreiber’s direction and the performances by its cast, so it’s a shame that Schreiber has only gone on to direct a couple of episodes of Ray Donovan since. Given how positive the response was to Everything is Illuminated, it’d be great to see if Schreiber could follow it up with another solid effort.
