Young farm girl Fern (Dakota Fanning) falls in love with a runt piglet named Wilbur. Wilbur makes friends with the other animals in the barn, including Templeton the Rat and Charlotte, a spider who tries to help save Wilbur from slaughter by writing messages about him on her web.
