Chicago (2002)

One of the best-reviewed musicals of all time, Chicago won six Academy Awards including Best Picture. Skewing the dark side of fame, the film is set in the 1920’s Jazz-age where Roxie (Rene Zellweger) will do anything to become a star. So when she’s arrested for murder, she sees it as the perfect time to capitalize on her press, turning the trial into a media spectacle much to the dismay of cell block celebrity, Velma (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
