Christian Bale – Bruce Wayne, Batman Begins

Following the disastrous release of Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin in 1997, plans for a follow-up Batman film were put on hold. One of the major criticisms towards the film was the casting of George Clooney as Bruce Wayne, replacing Val Kilmer, who had taken over the role from Michael Keaton in 1995’s Batman Forever.
