Carrie Fisher was happy to return to Star Wars in The Force Awakens

When Carrie Fisher was asked to return to the role of Princess Leia (now General Leia) in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, she was more than happy to accept and reunite with co-stars Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. "It was like being on campus again,” she said at the time. "When I first got there I was in my trailer and I heard Harrison’s footstep. I still know that sound.” She had kind words for her fans, as well, saying, "They’re so loyal that there should be another word for it, so it’s very sweet."

She was an amazing person, slim and pretty. But life was never kind to her, drugs and mental illness changed her.

I still saw a person who made Star Wars a reality of fiction, in action figures and make believe.

I watched, and rewatched these movies over and over again. I enjoyed Carrie’s role as Leia, we all wanted to be her.

The Reprisal roles of her in Star Wars: Force awakens (I watched) and a new one coming out in 2017 will be a memory (keep sake).

But the true likeness of Carrie can never be replaced and I hope Star Wars can create a memoir of her character in future movies. 😢
