Princess Leia and C-3PO get personality changes

Before filming Return of the Jedi, Carrie Fisher and Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO, both had requests. Carrie asked that Leia be softer, referring to the princess's demeanor in The Empire Strikes Back as "some sort of space bitch," while Daniels wanted C-3PO to play a more meaningful role in the third film, after having been nothing more than comedy relief in the previous film. They both got what they wanted.
