Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford was born in Chicago but moved to Los Angeles looking for work doing radio voiceovers. He was unsuccessful but signed on as a contract player with Columbia Pictures' New Talent program, but with a wife and two sons to support, he taught himself professional carpentry and began custom building furniture, a recording studio for the Brazilian musician Sérgio Mendes and even a deck for actress Sally Kellerman. He was earning a respectable living when he got the call for the classic film American Graffiti, and we are glad he didn't pass it up.

I am original, and I don’t mind being first. Very interesting to read about these people. I have a few similarities. We all probably do. Not much else to say. Nice to know the real names of people, too. I guess not a big discussion-type read, but glad was posted. I like to know the history of things and people.
