Nicole Kidman always had the acting bug. Born in 1967, she was a natural from a young age. Her inspiration: Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West in the classic children's movie The Wizard of Oz. She studied drama and dance in her native Australia, but her plans changed when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She dropped out of school at 17 and became a massage therapist to help her family with finances. Her mother survived and Nicole’s inherent talent and beauty eventually led her down her original path.
