Roger Moore

British actor Sir Roger Moore was knighted on June 14, 2013. He first gained fame playing Simon Templar on the long-running TV series The Saint. From there, he went on to star as secret agent James Bond in seven hit films. He was also known for his charitable work as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF. He died at his home in Switzerland at the age of 89 on May 23, 2017 after a brief battle with liver and lung cancer.
