A star during Hollywood's Golden Age, Olivia de Havilland had a career that spanned 53 years. Her first Oscar nomination came in 1940 for her role as Melanie Hamilton in the blockbuster hit Gone with the Wind. She would receive four more nominations, winning twice for her starring roles in To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949). When she died in Paris at the age of 104 on July 26, 2020, she was the oldest living actor to have won an Oscar.
