William Wallace (Braveheart)

William Wallace (Mel Gibson) fought the good fight for love and country, which is why his brutal but brave death at the end of Braveheart is such a hard one to watch. How can you not feel torn up while watching a beloved character (especially one based on a real person), who was only trying to do the right thing, die at the hands of the villains who made him.
