While Marvel and DC continue to dominate the cinematic landscape of superheroes, that isn’t to say they’re the only two options for these larger-than-life figures. Superheroes have found their way into the lexicon of cinematic language from traditional heroes to anti-heroes in both tentpole productions and indie projects. Though some of these are obvious choices, there are a few that will surprise due to the lower profile nature of their films.
