Grantham House

Grantham House is the London home of the Crawley family on Downton Abbey. The family stayed here during Lady Rose’s debutante ball and later, her wedding. On the show, the exterior of Grantham House is filmed at Bridgewater House (pictured here) in London's Westminster neighborhood, although the interiors are filmed at Basildon Park in Berkshire. In the inset photo, William is helping Lady Edith out of the car as she arrives at Grantham House.

Harewood House in Yorkshire. It was the actual home of Princess Mary, whose in-laws (they owned it at the time, the Princess didn’t live there until 1929) host the ball for the King and Queen in the film. Harewood House is also open to tourists.
