Mowgli and Baloo – The Jungle Book (1967)

Mowgli is a young orphan boy who is raised by Bagheera, a black panther. However, jungle life proves to be quite unsafe for the feral child, and when Bagheera tries to get him to return to the "man village," Mowgli runs away. He soon encounters a fun-loving and gregarious bear named Baloo, who becomes his best friend and father figure. While they intend to live out the rest of their lives together, the reality of Mowgli's existence comes back full force. Eventually Mowgli must leave to be with his people, but he certainly never forgets his "Papa Bear."
