Imhotep

An Egyptian priest named Imhotep (Boris Karloff) is brought back to life after an archaelogical expedition comes across his mummified remains in The Mummy (1932). Against advice, Ralph Norton decides to read an ancient life-giving scroll. Imhotep comes back to life and escapes from the archaeologists. Assuming the identity of Ardath Bey, a modern Egyptian, years later he helps the archaeologists find the tomb of his ancient lover, Ankh-es-en-amon. When he comes across a woman named Helen, who resembles Ankh, he believes she is a reincarnation of the princess, and attempts to mummify her to make her his bride.
