The Wicked Witch of the West – The Wizard of Oz (1939)

If you drop a house on someone, you're going to pay the price. Especially if your name is Dorothy, and that someone is the ruby slipper-wearing sister of The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz. When those slippers magically end up on Dorothy's feet, the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) does everything in her power to steal them back. As green as the brick road is yellow, this wicked witch sicks flying monkeys on Dorothy, her friends Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, and even her little dog, too. Unfortunately, her mission fails after Dorothy ingeniously decides to throw a bucket of water on her. Despite her sad, melty demise, the Wicked Witch of the West has still gone down as one of the nastiest witches in cinematic history.
