Hannibal

Psychotic cannibal Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Sir Anthony Hopkins) is the subject of a manhunt in this 2001 sequel to 1991's The Silence of the Lambs. By the end of the film he is reunited with Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore), who is desperate to apprehend him. The two tussle and Starling is able to handcuff Lecter to herself as the police close in. But Lecter escapes by cutting off his own hand and flees the scene before the authorities can arrest him.
