Baby Driver (2017) – Action and Musical

This 2017 passion project from acclaimed British director Edgar Wright isn’t just a typical action film, but also a musical. The film’s soundtrack drives this film, as every one of Ansel Elgort’s song selections is a break from the world around him to get lost in his own world. And while the film does not feature highly choreographed dance routines, it does feature beautifully executed action set pieces in their stead, so although this isn’t your typical song and dance film like Grease, make no mistake, Baby Driver is a musical through and through.
