Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) – Comic Book, Video Game and Musicals

Edgar Wright makes another appearance in this photo gallery with his adaptation of the Bryan Lee O’Malley graphic novel series, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. With the comic taking inspiration from Japanese manga, video games, and all things geek related, it’s no surprise that the film would follow suit. Taking elements from comic books and video games into its visual style, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is unlike anything seen before, or since, and is best compared to an action-style musical, like Wright would go on to make with Baby Driver. However, unlike Baby Driver, where the music drives the action, Scott Pilgrim makes use of the music as part of the action, giving a whole new meaning to battle of the bands.
