Hercules (2014)

While Hercules himself is a character based on Greek mythology, this Hercules film was based on a graphic novel featuring the character, titled Hercules: The Thracian Wars, from Steve Moore and Radical Comics. The film and comic largely follow the same plot of Hercules (Dwayne Johnson) and his band of friends hired as mercenaries for Lord Cotys (John Hurt) to train his army.
