Fourteen Ford Anglias were destroyed in the filming of the scene where Harry and Ron crashed into the Whomping Willow while attempting to get to Hogwarts for the start of their second year.
The Ford Anglia was a popular classic and has now passed on into legend.Shame they wrecked so many for 5 minutes of viewing time.Why couldn’t they’ve used the horrid looking Pontiac Aztec or the macabre Ssangyong Rodius? These turgid looking cars would have been worth wrecking as they’re existence is indeed mind-boggling to begin with!
