Erika Rosenbaum

Canadian actress Erika Rosenbaum revealed during an interview on the CBC program The Current that she met Harvey Weinstein at a party in Los Angeles. She was fairly new to the business and didn’t have an agent at the time. He told her about the actors whose careers he’d helped, but also about people whose careers he’d ruined. She was invited to his room and once his assistant left, he “started trying to be intimate with me.” She later saw him again, in Toronto during TIFF. She met with his female assistant at his hotel, who told her the meeting had changed and was now taking place in his suite. When the assistant left, Weinstein came out of the bathroom wearing only a shirt and grabbed Rosenbaum by the neck, then began masturbating behind her. She felt shocked and ashamed, and until the CBC interview, had kept quiet about what had happened.
