Juno (2007)

This quirky comedy has Canada stamped all over it. It's directed by Montreal-born Jason Reitman, stars Canadian actors Ellen Page and Michael Cera and was entirely shot in British Columbia. It was an indie breakthrough, generating Oscar nominations for both Ellen and Jason in the Best Actress and Best Director categories, respectively, and scored a Best Original Screenplay Oscar victory for American Diablo Cody. Juno raked in over $143 million at the box office.
