Vanilla Sky (2001)

Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) is a 1997 Spanish film that was remade with Vanilla Sky. Penélope Cruz plays the same lead character, Sofia, in both movies. The remake doesn’t stray too far from the original – which is good because Abre Los Ojos was very well-received – but it does add colorful visuals and humor in comparison with Abre Los Ojos’ darker feel.
