Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood was born May 31, 1930. After making a splash as the rugged and handsome cowboy Rowdy Yates on the western TV series Rawhide, then appearing in three Spaghetti Westerns directed by Sergio Leone, Eastwood was regarded as one of the most iconic faces in Westerns and the epitome of masculinity. Although he made some cheesy movies in the late '70s and early '80s, notably two in which he co-starred with an orangutan, he redeemed himself when he turned to directing, winning two Academy Awards and two Golden Globes for his directing skills.
