Born July 13, 1940, Patrick Stewart got his start on BBC television productions during the mid to late 1970s. He’s gone on to enjoy a career spanning over six decades, starring in iconic roles such as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the hit series Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994) and Professor X in the X-Men films. In 2010, Stewart was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to drama. He has also appeared in many stage productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
