The Stepfather

A remake of the 1987 film of the same name, this 2009 movie follows the story of a teenager (Penn Badgley, pictured above with Amber Heard) who comes home from military college to find his mother engaged to a man whose story just doesn't add up. Loosely based on the true story of murderer John List, who killed his wife, his mother and his three children before assuming a new identity and remarrying.
