Han Solo and Chewbacca – Star Wars

Man and dog. Man and horse. How about man and Wookiee? We were first introduced to both Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) in the 1977 movie Star Wars. As an Imperial Officer, Han refused to kill the 200-year-old Wookiee. He lost his job, became a smuggler and Chewie—to repay the debt—became a loyal companion and co-pilot on Solo's spaceship, the Millennium Falcon. While the American Institute for Film ranks Han Solo as the 14th greatest hero of film, Entertainment Weekly named Chewbacca one of the best "sidekicks" in filmdom's history.
