The Greek philosopher Aristotle believed there were three models of friendship: "utility-based," "pleasure-based," or "complete friendships.” The first might be a co-worker. The second might be a hockey team or club member friend. The relationship between Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. Watson (Jude Law) demonstrates the third type of friendship. They each have human flaws and yet they support each other, through the perils of being in the middle of a mystery to personal life situations.
