Most acting wins

With four Oscars to her name, the revered Katharine Hepburn holds the record for most acting wins. She was awarded by the Academy for powerful performances in Morning Glory (1933), Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967), The Lion in Winter (1968) and On Golden Pond (1981). In addition to her four victories, she was nominated eight other times. But interestingly enough, the icon never attended any of the four ceremonies where her name was read aloud and despite being favored by Oscar, never won a Golden Globe.
