Tom Hanks – Cast Away

Tom Hanks went from healthy businessman to stranded exile in 2000’s Cast Away. He gained 50 pounds before production to give him a meaty look. After filming part of the movie, they took a year hiatus so he could lose weight and embody the look of a cast away. He shed 55 pounds in four months with a strict diet and exercise regimen and couldn’t shave or cut his hair for weeks.
