Being a Disney teen idol is both a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing because you gain success at a young age. But it’s a curse because you’re stuck with that image for the rest of your career. Zac Efron, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens have all tackled R-rated films in order to shed their squeaky clean image. Miley Cyrus is no exception. The Hannah Montana star has been attempting all desperate means to change people’s perception of her. While you can’t blame her for wanting to move on from the role that made her a household name, her efforts thus far have been the definition of trying too hard.
