This role was a real departure for Melissa McCarthy, whose innate likeability and comedic timing can save even the most insufferable of characters. Not this time. A millionaire who loses everything after getting charged with insider trading, Michelle Darnell is a seriously awful woman. She's insensitive, obnoxious, crude, and just really, really difficult to watch on screen.
