Moriarty – Sherlock: The Abominable Bride (2016)

Played by: Andrew Scott

In Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, an episode of the Sherlock TV series starring Benedict Cumberbatch that screened as a special event in theaters, Andrew Scott as Professor Moriarty earned hatred from fans. His voice has been described as "high and whiny," with his performance deemed "campy" and a "Graham Norton impersonation" — he's more funny than frightening. We personally find his smug smile irritating, not to mention the fact that the character keeps being killed off (sigh of relief) but then wait... he's still alive? Ack.
