This is one young actor who’s been in the business for a long time—and has the chops to be one of the greats. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been, for just over the past decade, making pretty smart movie choices. Some of which really showed off his skill as an actor, a skill which is too often criminally underappreciated. His role as a gay hustler in Mysterious Skin was groundbreaking. (500) Days of Summer beautifully showcased his ability to be the quirky leading man. In Looper and Inception, he proved he can also be an action hero. In 50/50, he tackled a very serious subject matter with humor and heart. But, if his directorial debut Don Jon is any indication, there might still be greatness ahead for Joseph.
