Home Alone (1990)

We could talk about the popular Home Alone fan theory that Kevin McCallister grew up to become Jigsaw from the Saw franchise, but we’d rather talk about Kevin’s mom, Kate. In the film, she’s able to get back to Kevin by hitching a ride with Gus Polinski, played by John Candy. It seems innocent enough, but there’s an interesting theory floating around that Gus is actually the devil and in order to get home, Kate had to sell her soul. After all, Gus showed up at a crossroads within the airport right after Kate exclaims she would “sell her soul to the Devil himself” for a way home. If this theory is true, then it’s also true that a mother’s love really knows no bounds.
