We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011)

Psychopathy is placed under the microscope in an intimate and authentic way by director Lynne Ramsey in We Need to Talk About Kevin, which is based on Lionel Shriver's novel of the same name. The Golden Globe-nominated movie follows Eva (Tilda Swinton) as she struggles to love and raise her son Kevin (Ezra Miller). As he matures, Kevin grows increasingly withdrawn and dangerously aggressive, exhibiting more psychopathic tendencies with each passing year. It's a well-crafted thriller that's both striking and sensitive.
