Will win: Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) — Aaron Taylor-Johnson's win in this category at the Golden Globes was a bit of a surprise, as was Dev Patel's at the BAFTAs, but experts are pegging Mahershala Ali to snag the Best Supporting Actor Oscar and we're not arguing.

Should win: Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) — For his compassionate and compelling work in Moonlight, Mahershala is our top choice. His performance is brave and solidifies him as a talent to watch. We're keeping our fingers crossed for him.
