Best Cinematography – Joshua James Richard, Nomadland

Another odds-on favorite to walk away with this award, first-time nominee Joshua James Richard is a near lock for the Best Cinematography Oscar. This year's crop of nominees are mostly first-timers, with only The Trial of the Chicago 7's Phedon Papamichael having been previously nominated. That said, Richards will likely continue Nomadland's winning streak at the 2021 Academy Awards.
