Best Original Screenplay – Promising Young Woman

This year's crop of nominees for Original Screenplay are all great, but in spite of that the category seems to be a two-horse race between The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Promising Young Woman. While Aaron Sorkin looks to be the betting favorite to win, the fact that he already has an Oscar for The Social Network may work against him, which would put Emerald Fennell over the top for the Oscar.
