Looking back at Kevin Reynolds' Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the film packed quite a lot of star power thanks to the likes of Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. However, they would all wind up being overshadowed by the late Alan Rickman, who delivered another memorable performance as the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham. The film itself was as inconsistent as Costner's English accent, but Rickman stands out as the film's anchor, holding it all together.
