Finding Neverland (2004)

Johnny Depp was certainly an actor hitting his stride in the early 2000s. After garnering his first Oscar nomination with his smash hit Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Depp quickly earned his second Oscar nomination with Marc Forster's Finding Neverland. In the film he plays Sir James Matthew Barrie, the man who would eventually create the character of Peter Pan through his friendship with the Davies family. Expertly blending fantasy and reality, the film is a touching piece of cinema thanks to Depp's moving performance that brings grace to the Scottish writer.
