Pinocchio (1940)

Pinocchio was convinced by a strange man to journey to the alarmingly-named Pleasure Island where he met a group of young boys. Without adult supervision, they were free to drink, smoke tobacco, and gamble to their little hearts' desires. It was all fun and games until they started turning into donkeys and were sold into slave labor. While the transformation scene itself is scary enough, the most terrifying part is when you realize we never see those donkeys again for the rest of the movie. Do you know what that means? Those children may have lived out the rest of their days as donkeys.
