The Breakfast Club 2

Director John Hughes, who passed away in 2009, was never big on sequels but was keen on doing something for The Breakfast Club (1985) 10 years after the original. He wanted to wait until 1994 to start production, but sadly the idea fell through after a misunderstanding between Hughes and actor Judd Nelson. When Hughes was asked about the sequel later in life, he said, “I know everybody would love to watch it, but I’m too fond of those characters, there’s no excuse that could ever put them in the same room ever again."
