Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)/Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) – 19 years

As one of the most beloved film franchises and characters of all time, the anticipation for a sequel was finally answered 19 years after the release of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Stuck in development due to an unappealing script, George Lucas finally got around to crafting something he and Steven Spielberg were happy with. The result was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and although enjoyed upon its release, time hasn’t been kind to the fourth entry. In spite of that, fans eagerly await news on a fifth adventure for Indiana Jones, which is rumored to begin filming this year.
