Wall Street (1987)/Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) – 23 Years

Looking to tap into more '80s nostalgia, as was the trend in the late 2000s and early 2010s, Oliver Stone brought his hit 1987 flick Wall Street back into the public conscious with his sequel Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. The film was seen as timely, given Wall Street’s standing in the post-recession years and it more or less proved to be a modest success with Michael Douglas reprising one of his more iconic roles—Gordon Gekko.
