Natalie Portman has been a vegetarian since she was nine and is currently a vegan. She changed to a plant-based diet in 1989 after reading the book Eating Animals. Although she had some dairy during her first pregnancy, she was able to remain 100 percent vegan during her second one. In 2015 she was quoted as saying during an interview, "I'm vegan, and I drink a lot of water. If I have dairy, I immediately break out."
