Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983)

George Lucas' Star Wars franchise is essentially a tribute to space itself. For this gallery, we could have chosen any of the films in the SW series, but opted for what we deem to be the most creative of the bunch — Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Jabba the Hutt and the Ewoks? That's enough to win us over. Incredibly imaginative and without a doubt sci-fi at its best. Nominated for four Oscars in 1984, it was presented with a special achievement award for its remarkable visual effects.
