Johnny suffers from one of the 10 most common phobias with his case of coulrophobia, otherwise known as a fear of clowns. "There always seemed to be a darkness lurking just under the surface, a potential for real evil. I guess I am afraid of them because it's impossible - thanks to their painted-on-smiles - to distinguish if they are happy or if they're about to bite your face off," the actor said. Somewhat less common is his fear of performer John Davidson. But what makes it all so strange is how he deals with his fears -- adorning his home with clown paraphernalia in an effort to "ward off all evil," and watching tapes of Davidson "singing Christmas songs in polyester pants."
