Oprah is a powerhouse in business. So powerful, in fact, that she even holds enough sway to ban something as seemingly harmless as gum from her Harpo production studio. Speaking with People, she said, "I hate chewing gum. It makes me sick just to think about it. When people chew loudly or smack it and pull it out of their mouth, that's the worst." It all started when she was little, her grandmother would remove her gum, place it on her dinner plate, and then return to chewing after she had finished her meal. She'd also store rows of chewed gum in a kitchen cabinet. Gross.
